% 12.02.2018 The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is a student of Navaodaya Vidayalaya at Badaun, Gunnor Baduan, UP, seeking issuance of a direction to the respondent no.1 to carry out correction in the name of the petitioner, in its record and issue a new Secondary School Examination Grade Sheet cum Certificate of Performance for the session 2012-14 mentioning his name as `Rajkumar Singh' in place of `Rajkumar'. Though counter affidavits have not been filed, however, today learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over a copy of the letter dated 27th November, 2017, issued by the office of CBSE at Dehradun, according to which the petitioner's request has been acceded to. PGT(Bio), appearing on behalf of the respondent no.2, confirms the said fact and submits that the respondent no.2 has received the aforesaid letter from the Regional Office of respondent no.1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that even though the aforesaid letter accepting his request had been issued two months ago, the requisite Secondary School Examination Grade Sheet cum Certificate of Performance, has not been issued till date and, therefore, prays that the respondent be directed to issue the said certificate within four weeks. The said letter is taken on record.
The petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1 to take expeditious steps to issue the fresh Secondary School Examination Grade Sheet cum Certificate of Performance for the session 2012-14 mentioning his name as `Rajkumar Singh' in place of `Rajkumar', preferably within six weeks.
