% 03.04.2018 Respondent no.2 (Sangeeta Jangid) is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Jatan Swaroop of police station Krishna Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 30th April, 2015 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

The petitioner has paid ` 1,00,000/- towards balance amount and `20,000/- towards delayed payment to the respondent no.2 by way of two demand drafts, photocopies of the same have been placed on record. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 7th April, 2016 passed by the Family Court, Shahdara, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 before the Mediation Centre; more particularly the fact that their marriage has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 308/2010 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Krishna Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
