CRL.M.C. 4994/2018 Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the learned ASJ to conclude the trial in SC No.56664/2016 in an expeditious manner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the trial has been unnecessarily prolonged because two witnesses, i.e., PW-18 and PW-22, who are both police officials, have not been appearing for tendering evidence. She draws my attention to an order dated 23.08.2018 passed by the learned ASJ summoning the said witnesses

for appearance on 15.11.2018 though the DCP.

At this stage, Mr.Verma, learned APP, on instructions from ASI Devender, submits that the aforesaid two witnesses will positively appear before the learned ASJ on the next date. In view of the aforesaid statement made by the learned APP, the learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the petition any further with liberty to approach this Court at a later stage, if the need so arises.
