Pursuant to the order dated 23.10.2018, a fresh status report has been handed over by the learned Standing Counsel (Criminal) wherein it has been stated by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, AHTU, Crime Branch, New Delhi that on 30.10.2018, the missing girl, daughter of the petitioner herein was recovered from Village Kasiya, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh along with the respondent No.2, a juvenile in conflict with law, aged 16 years 9 months. 2.
On 31.10.2018, the petitioner's daughter was taken to a government hospital for a medical check up, which she refused to undergo. Her statement was also got recorded on the same day, under Section 164 Cr P.C. before the concerned Court where she deposed that on 29.08.2018, instead of going to her school, she went to Humayun's Tomb with the respondent W.P.(CRL) 2883/2018
No.2 and since her mother found out about them, fearing the wrath of her parents, she proceeded with the respondent No.2 to ISBT Anand Vihar and went to Gorakhpur and from there to Kushinagar where they took an accommodation on rent and started living there. 3.
The minor girl further stated before the concerned Court that she had left her home on her own and had not been abused by anyone. She was then produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi on 31.10.2018 and again produced before the CWC, Kalkaji, New Delhi on 01.11.2018, when she was handed over to her mother. As on date, the minor girl is residing with her parents.

Today, the minor girl is present in Court along with her father, who gives an assurance that he and his family shall be more careful about ensuring the well being of the minor girl. The petitioner further stated that he does not wish to pursue this petition any further as his daughter has been handed over to him.

The status report is taken on record. In view of above submissions, the present petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. HIMA KOHLI, J.
