Vide order dated 10th November, 2016 passed in W.P. (Crl.) 2462/2016, petitioner was ordered to be released on parole for a period of one month to enable him to file SLP in the Supreme Court. It is submitted that petitioner was released on 15th November, 2016 pursuant to this order. By this petition, petitioner seeks extension of parole on the ground of filing SLP and also to take care of his ailing mother. It is submitted that petitioner's mother is a heart patient.

One month time was sufficient for filing the SLP. However, no steps have been taken in the direction of filing SLP till date. As regards ailment

of petitioner's mother is concerned, OPD cards etc. of his mother show that she is receiving treatment from RML Hospital right from June, 2016 onwards of her own. It is nowhere mentioned in the document that she requires hospitalisation. No ground is made out for extension of parole period.

Writ petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
