O R D E R

% 01.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, FIR No. 472/2012 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Samaipur Badli on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are relatives of petitioner no. 1.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Dharmender Pratap Singh, P.S.

Samaipur Badli.

Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, vide

Memorandum of Understanding/Settlement Deed dated 24th December, 2015 (Annexure-E). She submits that her marriage with the petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved vide the ex-parte decree of divorce dated 20th May, 2016 passed by the Court of Ms. Shalini Singh Nagpal, District Judge, Kathal, which she is accepting. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she has already received entire settled amount from the petitioner no. 1 and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

Keeping in mind the fact that settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 472/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Samaipur Badli and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
