Learned Additional Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondent nos. 1 to 4. Learned counsel for the respondent nos. 5 and 6 accepts notice on their behalf. Respondent no. 5 is the father of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 6 is the brother of respondent no. 5. It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 has married petitioner no. 2 of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. Respondent nos. 5 and 6 are not happy with the marriage of petitioners and are threatening them with dire consequences. Learned
counsel for the respondent nos. 5 and 6 submits that the respondents have never threatened the petitioners nor they have any intention to cause any harm to the petitioners.
Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that SHO has provided his mobile number as well as landline numbers of the police station Dabri to him. Learned Additional Standing Counsel further submits that beat staff will also be sensitised and their telephone numbers will be provided to the petitioners.
Accordingly, present writ petition is disposed of with the directions to respondent no. 4 to ensure the safety of petitioners, after assessing the element of threat. Dasti.
