% 17.12.2018 By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to re-establish social ties and also to perform rituals for his father who passed away.

A status report has been filed. As per the Status report the family of the petitioner comprising of his brother, wife and children are residing at M52, M-block, Rajouri Garden. The father of the petitioner passed away on 20th January, 2008 and no date for death anniversary has been fixed. A perusal of the nominal roll reveals that the petitioner is involved in two other cases however he has undergone sentence awarded thereon and was granted parole by this Court w.e.f. 19th September, 2014 to 18th October, 2014 which was extended till 18th January, 2015. Though the conduct of the W.P.(CRL) 2901/2018

petitioner in jail is not satisfactory, the last punishment being on 31st July, 2017, however, when earlier parole was granted the petitioner did not misuse the said concession.

Considering the facts verified and that the petitioner has roots in the society, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is, therefore, directed that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety bond of the like amount subject to the satisfaction of the learned Trial Court. Petition is disposed of.

Copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
