% 29.09.2015 The petitioners, by the present petition, have sought protection against respondent nos.4 to 7.
It has been submitted that petitioner no.1 and 2, married of their own free will and volition.
The aforesaid marriage was not accepted by the parents of the petitioner no.1 who have been impleaded as respondent nos.4 & 5. The parents of petitioner no.1 have been openly threatening the petitioners of being eliminated.
Respondent nos.6 & 7 are related to respondent nos.4 & 5 and they are also lending support to the illegal acts of respondent nos.4 & 5. Mr.Mehra, learned Standing Counsel submits that pursuant to the orders of this Court, protection was afforded to the petitioners. In fact, the telephone numbers of the petitioners were given to the SHO of the concerned police station. The petitioners were also given the telephone
numbers of police officials with the assurance that any SOS call would be taken up by the police officials with urgent despatch. The petitioners do not have any grievance against the police personnel. The SHO of the concerned police station would keep on assessing the threat perceptions and would provide protection to the petitioners who have married of their own volition after attaining majority.
