versus STATE & ANR ..... Respondents Through:

Respondent no.2 in person.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 28.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 (husband) and respondent no.2 (wife) have settled their disputes amicably and have started living together for the last two years. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Vinod Kumar Tyagi of police station Kalyan Puri. She says that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

She also concedes that she has been living with the petitioner no.1 for the last two years. She further says that she is not willing to pursue the FIR and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together

after ironing out their differences and the fact that wife does not wish to pursue the FIR, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 210/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Kalyan Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Dasti.
