IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ CM(M) 1360/2016 and CM No. 47533/2016 RAJWANT KAUR ..... Petitioner Through Mr. Rashmi Bansal and Mr. Anuj Gupta, Advocates.

versus SUSHMA KHANNA ..... Respondent Through

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAYANT NATH

O R D E R

% 22.12.2016 1.

The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present petition is that the petitioner has filed an eviction petition under Order 14 (1) (e) of the Delhi Rent Control Act. It is urged that the petitioner is 96 years old and is prejudiced by the fact that the application for leave to defend which has been filed by the respondent/tenant has been pending adjudication since 2013 i.e. more than 3 years. He submits that for some reason or the other, the matter keeps getting adjourned.

2.

In the interest of justice, the ARC is requested to dispose of the application for leave to defend within four months from the date of receipt of this order.

3.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to move an appropriate application for preponing the hearing of the matter.

4.

The petition is disposed of. All pending applications also stand disposed of.
