O R D E R

% 05.12.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Sunil Chandra of police station Tilak Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, West District, Tis Hazari on 5th July, 2016 (Annexure B) of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 29th March, 2017 (Annexure C). Petitioner no.1 has paid `4 lacs to the respondent no.2 today in Court towards balance settled amount through a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record.

Respondent no.2 submits that entire settled amount of `12.50 lacs stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in quashing of the FIR against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 4. Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily and respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 810/07 under Sections 498A-/406/34 IPC registered at police station Tilak Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
