% 26.10.2017 Respondent no. 2 Rishibha Greene is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Neha Chaudhary of Police Station G.T.B. Enclave. Respondent no. 2 says that she has settled the matter with petitioners , vide a Deed of Settlement dated 16th February, 2015, of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Shahdara, Delhi on 8th December, 2015. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she has received entire settlement amount and is not

willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed. Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances of the case as detailed above more particularly, the fact that marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR No.189/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at Police Station G.T.B. Enclave and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
