The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers:- (i) to direct the respondents No.2 and 3 to provide adequate security to the petitioners.

(ii) to direct respondent No.4 not to interfere in the peaceful lives of the petitioners and to harass and humiliate the parents of the petitioner No.2. 2.

Learned ASC for the State/R-1 to R-3 has filed the status report and submitted that in compliance of directions of this Court vide order dated 29.10.2015, inquiry into the matter has been conducted which revealed that petitioners have not been residing at the given address after their marriage. Therefore, no protection could be provided to them. However, due to continuous dispute between the families of petitioner No.2 and respondent No.4, proceedings under Sections 107/150 Cr.P.C. were initiated on 28th W.P.(CRL) 1406/2015

July, 2015. It is further submitted that due to quarrelsome, desperate & dangerous nature and previous criminal involvements of respondent No.4, proceedings under Section 47 of the Delhi Police Act, 1978 were initiated against him. The proceedings have been dropped vide order No.274950/Ext. Branch/North-East dated 15th September, 2015. However, a Kalandra under Section 107/150 Cr.P.C. has been prepared against respondent and filed before the Court of SEM/North-East, Seelampur, Delhi. 3.

Mr.Ashish Aggarwal, learned ASC for the State/R-1 to R-3 has submitted that beat staff of the concerned area has been sensitized to keep regular watch over the petitioners and mobile numbers of SHO, PS Nand Nagri and Beat Staff of the area were provided to the petitioners to enable them to contact the police in case of need and mobile numbers of the petitioners have also been taken. Learned ASC for the State/R-1 to R-3 has further submitted that so long the threat persists, the police will continue providing necessary protection to the petitioners. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, on being satisfied with the assurance given by learned ASC for the State/R-1 to R-3, seeks leave to withdraw the present petition.

Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn. As prayed, copy of the order be given dasti to learned counsel for the parties.
