% 06.12.2017 By this petition, the petitioner has sought registration of FIR and directions for investigation besides protection. The Complaint of the petitioner is that he received obscene, objectionable, derogatory and threatening whatsapp messages.

As per the status report on the complaint of the petitioner case FIR No. 337/2017 under Section 294/504/506/500 IPC & 67 of the Information Technology Act was registered and the investigation thereon is pending. The accused Aakash Bhatia has since been arrested. As regards the threat perception, the status report notes that the beat staff of the area has been briefed and directed to keep watch at the residence of the petitioner -164, Mall Apartment, Mall Road, Timarpur, Delhi. W.P.(CRL) 2153/2017

It is further directed that in case of specific complaint by the petitioner, action thereon will be taken in accordance with law. Petition and application is disposed of.
