% 31.07.2017 Crl. M.A. No. 12194/2017 (exemption) Allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Application is disposed of. CRL.M.C. No. 2934/2017 It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, FIR No. 475/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Pujabi Bagh on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 5 are relatives of petitioner no. 1.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel.

Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioner no. 1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure

or coercion before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 14th December, 2016.

Respondent no. 2 further submits that marriage between her and the petitioner no. 1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 7th July, 2017 passed by the Principal Judge (West District), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi.

Petitioner no. 1 has handed over a demand draft of `25,00,000/- to the respondent no. 2 today towards the last installment out of the total settled amount, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 further submits that with this payment she has received entire settled amount from the petitioner no. 1 and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the fact that settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, inasmuch as, respondent no.2 is not interested in pursuing the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 475/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Pujabi Bagh and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
