By way of this writ petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C., petitioner is seeking quashing of case FIR No.585/2014 under Sections 354-B IPC registered at PS Najafgarh, New Delhi as well the consequential proceedings emanating therefrom on the basis of settlement.

Perusal of the record reveals that there is no settlement deed placed on record.

Since there is no settlement deed placed on record which forms basis of filing this writ petition, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as the settlement was oral, this petition may be dismissed giving liberty to the petitioner and respondent No.2 to file a fresh petition after entering into written settlement. 5.

The writ petition is dismissed granting the liberty as prayed for. PRATIBHA RANI, J.
