% 08.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled the disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 23rd March, 2016, therefore, FIR No.613/2015 under Sections498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Karol Bagh on the complaint of respondent no.2, may be quashed. Mr. J K Sain, father and attorney of respondent no.2 is present in the Court along with counsel and has been identified by SI Jagbir Singh, PS Karol Bagh. It is submitted that since respondent no.2 has taken up an employment in Cuttak, she is not available and, therefore, is being represented through her father/ attorney Sh. J K Saini. Mr. J K Saini admits that the matter has been settled between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi and has identified signatures of

respondent no.2 on mediation proceedings at point 'X'. He further submits that marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 20th October, 2016 passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. Mr. J K Saini further submits that out of the settled amount, respondent no.2 has already received `2,50,000/-. The balance amount of `1,00,000/- has been paid by the petitioner to Mr. J. K. Saini today in court by way of DD bearing No.014490 dated 27th June, 2017 in favour of Afsha Saini, Respondent No.2. He submits that, as per instructions from respondent no.2, the above mentioned FIR be quashed in terms of the settlement.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 and the fact that marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 613/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Karol Bagh and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
