The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:- "Direct the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for allotment of chamber, afresh and pass a reasoned and speaking order."

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that there are more than twenty five chambers, which are earmarked for being allotted to lady advocates but are lying vacant and have not been allotted so far. W.P. (C) 6954/2017

The learned counsel further states that the petitioner has received no communication from the respondent indicating the reason why her application for allotment of a chamber has not been favourably considered. 6.

In the aforesaid circumstances, the present petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to briefly indicate the reasons why the petitioner's application has been rejected, if at all.
