BAIL APPLN. 1495/2017 This is an application filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.240/2016, under Sections 420/467/468/471 IPC registered at Police Station-Chittranjan Park. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person having no nexus with the FIR No.240/2016, under Sections 420/467/468/471 IPC registered at Police Station-Chittranjan Park. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is apprehending his arrest in the above case. He has further submitted that the allegations alleged against the petitioner is false. He has further submitted that there is no

evidence qua against the present petitioner. He has further submitted that the petitioner is ready to join investigation whenever and wherever required and prays that the petitioner be granted anticipatory bail. Learned APP for State has vehemently opposed the application and has submitted that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required as the other co-accused who have been arrested have made disclosure statement regarding the role of the petitioner and that they are operating a gang to withdraw money by processing fake cheques. The investigation of the case is at initial stage. Accordingly, I do not find it a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Consequently, the present bail application is dismissed.
