The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent to dispose of his application seeking sanction to prosecute Sub Inspector Pushpinder, under Section 197 Cr.P.C. 3.

The learned ASC appearing for the State states that the petitioner's application has already been considered and his request has been denied. 4.

In view of the above, the prayers made in the present petition do not survive.

The petition is, accordingly, disposed of while reserving the rights of the petitioner to seek appropriate remedies.
