Status reports stand filed by the respondent Nos.1 & 2. Let a copy thereof be furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The respondents shall ensure that a latest status report is filed in the matter three days before the next date of hearing with an advance copy to the petitioner.

By this contempt case, the petitioner has complained of violation of our order dated 31.05.2017 in W.P.(C) No.5167/2017. The prayer has been made for initiating a contempt of court against the respondents for failing to comply with the said order. 4.

We find that we have issued some general directions to the respondents to ensure that all the encroachments on the street in CONT.CAS(C) No.531/2017 Pg. 1 of 2

question, which are the subject matter of W.P.(C) No.5167/2017, are removed forthwith. The same is not a one-time measure and the respondents have conveyed that they are vigilant and shall take action against the offenders.

In view thereof, we are not inclined to initiate contempt of court proceedings.

The action flagged by the petitioner is also already subject matter of W.P.(C) No.5167/2017. 6.

The Registry is, therefore, directed to de-register this contempt case, i.e. Cont. Cas.(C) No.531/2017, and to register the same as an application in W.P.(C) No.5167/2017 and list it along W.P.(C) No.5167/2017, which is coming up for hearing on 06.12.2017.
