Present application has been filed by the respondents praying inter alia for extension of time by six months for making compliance of the order dated 17th July, 2015.

It is pertinent to note that vide order dated 17th July, 2015, the present petition was disposed of with directions issued to the respondents to pass appropriate orders for grant of non-functional upgradation to the post of Chief Engineer in the Border Road Organization, which would also indicate the consequential benefits payable to him, within four weeks. The period of four weeks granted vide order dated 17th July, 2015 had expired on 16th August, 2015. W.P.(C) 6744/2015

However, the respondents have approached this Court after almost six months from the date of passing of the said order, yet again seeking extension of time by six months to the detriment of the petitioner.

In the first instance, the respondents are directed to file an affidavit demonstrating the steps taken by them w.e.f. 17th July, 2015 till date for making compliance of the order dated 17th July, 2015. Needful shall be done within one week.

List on 28th January, 2016.
