% 13.09.2025 Appellant insurance company has filed an appeal for enhancement of the award dated 29.08.2016 passed by the Learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs. 14,52,983/- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. Learned Counsel for appellant submits that the present appeal be disposed off as settled in view of the settlement arrived in MAC APP No. 916/2016 titled THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE CO LTD Vs MANGAL & ORS.

We have interacted with the Ld. Counsel /parties concerned. In view of settlement, the appeal is directed to be disposed off as settled with directions in terms of the settlement.
