CM(M) 1190/2018 This petition challenges the order dated 13.08.2018 whereby the right to file the written statement of the petitioner was closed. This is a petition under Section 14(1)(e) wherein an application for leave to defend of the petitioner was allowed on 15.02.2018 but till 13.08.2018 the petitioner has failed to file the written statement. Admittedly it has not been filed even today with any application for condonation of delay and the petitioner has no cogent explanation of not filing the written statement in time.

Putting an owner/landlord in a lurch with these delaying tactics are of no help. I find no reasonable ground to interfere in the impugned order dated 13.08.2018.

The petition is dismissed and pending application stands disposed of.
