The petitioners seek a direction for provisional release of goods retained on 19.10.2016. The learned counsel for the Revenue-the Customs By:AMULYA
Authorities, submits that the goods are not essentially perishable in nature and there is no urgency, but at the same time states that the release order would be made in accordance with law expeditiously. The counsel for the petitioners points out that another Bill of Entry i.e. a live consignment covered by 7667297 dated 01.12.2016, has not been cleared so far. 5.
We are of the opinion that so far as the detained consignments are concerned, the respondents should consider the request and pass appropriate provisional release order within three weeks. So far as the live consignment is concerned, the petitioners should cooperate in the enquiry to enable the respondents to pass an order. It shall be done within two weeks. 6.
The writ petitions are disposed off in the above terms. 7.
A copy ofthis order be given to the parties under the signatures of the Court Master.
