Present Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed primarily seeking directions to provide/maintain sanitation facilities in Madanpur Khadar East, New Delhi. In pursuance to the orders passed by this Court, fourteen (14) community toilets have been renovated in Madanpur Khadar East, New Delhi and are functional as of today. 2.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi ('MCD') has filed an affidavit dated 21st December, 2023 fairly stating that its Maintenance Division-IV of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 13/05/2024 at 13:02:13

Central Zone shall be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of these fourteen (14) Community Toilets Complexes at Madanpur Khadar East, New Delhi and the same shall be kept clean by the Sanitation Department of Central Zone-MCD in future. The said undertaking given by MCD is accepted by this Court and MCD is held bound by the same. 3.

Similarly, the system put in place by Delhi Jal Board for supply of drinking water in Madanpur Khadar East, New Delhi shall continue in accordance with the affidavit dated 20th August, 2019 filed by the Delhi Jal Board.

Recording the aforesaid undertaking and with the aforesaid direction, the present petition is closed.
