The present writ petition assails the order dated 14th August, 2017 passed by Respondent No. 1/School, whereby the Petitioner, who claims to have been employed as a teacher with the said School, was placed under suspension.

During the pendency of the present petition, the Directorate of Education1, by order dated 19th February, 2019, set aside the suspension order dated 14th August, 2017 and directed the School to (i) revoke the suspension; (ii) treat the Petitioner as on duty for the suspension period; and (iii) release pay and allowances payable under Rule 121 of the Delhi School Education Rules, 1973, for the intervening period. 3.

It is stated that the aforesaid directions issued by the DoE have not been implemented by Respondent No. 1/School.

However, this Court has, by order passed today in W.P.(C) 4001/2019, set aside the DoE order dated 19th February, 2019 and remanded the matter to the DoE for fresh consideration. 5.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of, with liberty to the Petitioner to pursue appropriate remedies in accordance with law, depending upon the outcome of the remanded proceedings before the DoE.
