(Crl.) 3628/2016 Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that though in the petition and affidavit different address has been given but the petitioners are living at E-2/423, Nand Nagri, Delhi - 110093, the address given in the complaint to the DCP, District North East, Delhi at page no. 13. Let amended memo of parties be filed during course of the day. Issue notice to the respondents. Learned ASC for the State accepts notice.
Petitioners have approached this Court seeking police protection. It is
alleged that petitioners have married without the consent of their parents and against the wishes of family members of petitioner no.1. It is further alleged that petitioners have been threatened by the family members of petitioner no.1 with dire consequences.
However, petitioners have not impleaded family members of petitioner no.1 in this petition from whom they alleged to have been receiving threat.
Learned ASC for the State submits that beat constable in the area, where the petitioners are living, will be sensitized. It is further submitted that mobile numbers of Beat Constable, Divisional Officer and SHO will also be provided to the petitioners so that they may contact on these numbers in case of any threat.
In view of above, present writ petition is disposed of with the directions to the SHO of police station Nand Nagri to ensure the safety of the petitioner after assessing the element of threat. Dasti.
