By this petition, petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to look after his old aged mother and maintain social ties. Petitioner also challenges the communication dated 23rd August, 2018 informing about the rejection of his application seeking parole on the ground that he had availed furlough of two weeks during the month of February and March, 2018. 2.

Issue notice.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice on behalf of the State.

A status report has been handed over which is taken on record. 5.

As per the status report the factum of the petitioner's family residing at house No. 253, Near Sham Mandir, Village Dhulsirus, Sector-24, Dwarka, New Delhi has been verified. However, as per the nominal roll the W.P.(CRL) 2966/2018

petitioner has availed furlough for a period of three weeks w.e.f. 18th July, 2018 to 9th August, 2018. Since the petitioner has already availed a furlough recently, this Court finds no ground to grant parole to the petitioner on the ground to maintain social ties and look after his mother. 6.

Petition is dismissed.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
