% 18.09.2017 It is submitted that marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 13th January, 2017 passed the Principal Judge, Family Court, Rohini, Delhi. Therefore, FIR No.768/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mahendra Park, Delhi may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 5 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today alongwith her counsel and has been identified by SI Dalbir Singh, P.S. Mahendra Park. She says that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure and coercion. Petitioner no.1 has paid `50,000/- to respondent nos. 2 towards the balance

settled amount. Respondent no.2 says that she has received the entire settled amount and she has no objection in case FIR No.768/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mahendra Park is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already[y been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.768/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mahendra Park, which is at the stage of investigation is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
