O R D E R

% 03.08.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 113/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC of police station Crime (Women) Cell/Nanak Pura and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 5 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court with her counsel and has been identified by SI Gajender Singh of Crime (Women) Cell. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She submits that her marriage with petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual

consent passed by the Family Courts, Dwarka Court, New Delhi on 27th March, 2017. She further submits that she has already received `3.2 lacs from the petitioner no.1 out of the total settled amount, that is, `4.2 lacs. In terms of the settlement, petitioner no.1 has paid balance amount of `1 lac to the respondent no.2 today in Court by way of a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. She admits having received the entire settled amount and has no objection in quashing of the FIR. Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and responded no.2 and that respondent no. 2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 113/2014 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Crime (Women) Cell/Nanak Pura and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
