% 26.07.2018 By this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.407/2016 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Saket on the complaint of the wife of the petitioner namely Nisha. Allegations of Nisha in the FIR in question are that the petitioner and her in-laws physically and mentally tortured her with demand of dowry. She used to be beaten with legs and fist blows. She also stated that a demand of a car as well as ₹5 lakhs for business purposes was made from her parents. In the FIR, the date-wise sequence has been given. A perusal of the file also reveals that despite admitting stridhan of the complainant to be in possession of the petitioner, the same was not returned. Thus, this Court finds no ground to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Petition is dismissed.
