W.P.(C) 7299/2017 Petitioner is aggrieved for the reason that in spite of his application having been filed in the year 2005 and having been remained pending before the respondent no action has been taken upon his application.
Record shows that the petitioner was a Zamindar of agricultural land details of which find mention in the petition. His land was acquired on 06.7.2004. Compensation was received on 23.9.2004. In 2005 he filed an application before the respondent (Land and Building Department) seeking allotment of an alternate plot; he was granted a personal hearing in February, 2016. The documents sought for from the petitioner have been furnished to the Department.
On advance notice, learned counsel for respondent has put in appearance. His submission is that the application of the petitioner is pending before the Department; he further submits that the application shall be considered and answered in accordance with law as per the seniority list. No further orders are called for in the petition.
Petition disposed of in the above terms.
