% 28.11.2017 BAIL APPLN. 1517/2017 Vide the present application, the applicant seeks grant of anticipatory bail under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. in relation to the FIR No.491/2016, under Sections 376/376(2)(i)/366/506 IPC, 1860 & under Section 6 POCSO Act.

On behalf of the State, a status report has been filed which indicates that the age of the child being 12 years with her statement alleging gross sexual assault.

Without any observation on the merits or demerits of the case and in view of the status report, there is no ground for bail and thus the application is rejected.

The application is disposed of.

Crl.M.A. No.12546/2017 This is an application filed by the petitioner seeking early disposal of the case seeking directions to the learned trial court to

conclude the matter within a period of six months or any other timeframe granted by the Court.

In view of the order dated 28.7.2017 in Sessions Case No.576/16 whereby the date of hearing given is 25.7.2018 for the recording of the testimony of the prosecutrix, taking into account the date of hearing fixed and the submissions made on behalf of the applicant that he is in custody since 1.9.2016, the learned trial court is directed to take up the matter expeditiously with a direction to conclude the trial within a period of eight months from today. The application is disposed of.

A copy of the order be given dasti, as prayed and be also sent to the learned trial Court.
