O R D E R

% 23.10.2017 Crl.M.A.17178/2017 (modification of order) in W.P.(CRL) 2273/2017 This is an application seeking modification of the order dated 25.08.2017 whereby the petitioner has been allowed parole for a period of three weeks, subject to his furnishing personal bond with one local surety of Rs.25,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent and on fulfilling other conditions.

It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that because of his long incarceration in the custody, he has not been able to arrange for a local surety in the sum of Rs.25,000/-. He therefore prays that the surety amount be reduced to Rs.10,000./-.

For the reasons stated in the application, the order dated 25.08.2017 is modified to the extent that the petitioner shall be released on parole for a period of three weeks, subject to his furnishing personal bond with one

surety of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. The other conditions imposed by the order dated 25.08.2017 shall subsist.

The application is allowed and disposed of.

The modified order be communicated to the Superintendent of the concerned jail.
