O R D E R

% 06.03.2018 Petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of respondent no.2. It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no.2 have amicably settled their disputes amicably and, therefore, FIR No.208/2009 under sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Khyala may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 Ms. Simran Kaur is present in Court and has been identified by SI Ram Bhau of police station Khyala. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mahila Courts, West District, Tis Hazari Courts on 4th March, 2015. Petitioners have paid `2,25,000/- to the respondent no. 2, vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 says

that entire settled amount of `9,00,000/- stands paid with this payment and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioners. Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances as detailed above, in the interest of justice, FIR No.208/2009 under sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Khyala and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
