Learned counsel for the petitioner states that he has filed an application only today for explaining the delay on the part of the petitioner, as mentioned on the last date of hearing, with a copy furnished to the learned counsel for the respondent.

The Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences has forwarded a medical report of the petitioner under a covering letter dated 11.01.2018, which states that after a detailed assessment, Serial Mental Status Examination and psychological assessments, he has been found to have no diagnosable psychiatric illness. The report further states that the petitioner is fit for the job with respect to his current mental status. W.P.(C) 6893/2017

In view of the aforesaid report, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition. 4.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn alongwith the pending application.
