O R D E R
% 22.12.2016 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi. Petitioner nos.2 to 8 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Ashish Sharma PS Jafrabad. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner no.1. She also admits having received the settled amount. She submits that petitioner no.1 has also pronounced Talaaq and she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.
Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 and that their marriage has already been dissolved, no
fruitful purpose would be served to keep the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings.
Accordingly, FIR No.319/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Jafrabad, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
