O R D E R

% 14.11.2017 Having heard learned counsel for the parties and with the consent of the parties, who are present in person, the order dated 8th September, 2016, impugned in the present appeal is modified as follows:- (a) The appellant will be entitled to the enhanced permanent alimony in a sum of Rs.6,750/- per month from the date of the filing of the application under Section 25(2) of H.M.A i.e. 16th September, 2013 till September, 2016;

(b) From October, 2016, the appellant shall be entitled to permanent alimony @ Rs.12,000/- per month till the date of his retirement and (c) Post retirement, the appellant shall be entitled to receive permanent alimony @ Rs.8,000/- per month from the respondent. MAT.APP.(F.C.) 196/2016

The respondent undertakes to clear the arrears in accordance with the terms agreed to hereinabove within four months from today and continue to pay permanent alimony in the amount fixed hereinabove by 7th of every succeeding month thereafter. The undertaking furnished on behalf of the respondent is hereby accepted.

With the above modification, the appeal is disposed off in the terms elaborated hereinabove.
