% 14.12.2024 This statutory appeal has been preferred by the appellants, being the legal heirs of the deceased, seeking enhancement of compensation awarded by the learned MACT vide judgment dated 01.08.2016 to the tune of Rs. 9,05,000/- along with interest @ 9% per annum from the date of filing of the claim petition till realization. After due deliberations, the parties have agreed that the amount of compensation may be enhanced to Rs. 4,00,000/- in lump sum over and above of the awarded amount.
Resultantly, the enhanced amount of Rs. 4,00,000/- be also deposited with the Registrar General within five weeks from today, failing which the Insurance Company shall pay interest @ 9% p.a. on the delayed deposit. Thereafter, on such deposit, the enhanced amount be released in favour of the wife of the deceased also being the mother and natural guardian of the minor children for welfare of the minor The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
