% 01.02.2017 (1) Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner for quashing of FIR No.502/1999 under Sections 498A/406/506 IPC registered at Police Station Civil Lines. It is stated that the matter has been settled with the complainant/respondent No.2 amicably before this Court.
(2) Respondent No.2-complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from the complainant whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without fear and pressure. She has informed that the matter CRL.M.C. 4851/2016
has been settled without any fear or pressure and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.
Pursuant to the settlement, remaining amount of `5,00,000/- has been paid to the complainant today in court by way of demand draft bearing No.716014 drawn on Punjab National Bank for the sum of `2,00,000/- and cheque bearing No.914145 dated 23.12.2016 drawn on State Bank of India for the sum of `3,00,000/-.
