% 09.08.2017 Petitioner is the brother-in-law (devar) of respondent no. 2. It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably with the interventions of the elders in the family; therefore, FIR No. 300/2016 under Sections 354/506/509/34 IPC registered at Police Station Geeta Colony on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Yashpal Singh, P.S. Geeta Colonly. Respondent no.2

submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Respondent no. 2 admits her signatures on the MOU dated 10th January, 2017 at point 'X', photocopy whereof has been placed on record as Annexure-B. Respondent no. 2 further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 300/2016 under Sections 354/506/509/34 IPC registered at Police Station Geeta Colony, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
