% 10.08.2017 The petitioner was released on parole for the purposes of his being treated for lower urinary tract infection/pelvic edema and Stricture Urethra. The petitioner had undergone exploration with bilateral hemi-scrotectomy. For post-operative care, the petitioner is required to go for pubic catheter which is required to be changed after every three weeks. The period of furlough was extended once by order dated 14.06.2017. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that a fresh catheter is to be implanted after three weeks. A request, therefore, has been made for further extension of furlough by three weeks. Taking into account the fact that the petitioner has served jail for more than 11 years and has also shown good conduct in jail, this court is inclined to extend the furlough for further three weeks. While saying so, this court
has also taken note of his old age and his suffering from various other ailments.
The period of furlough is extended till 05.09.2017 on the same conditions which were imposed while granting furlough. The petitioner shall positively surrender on or before 05.09.2017. The application is allowed.
