The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in case FIR No.616/2016 registered under Sections 420/34 IPC at PS Hari Nagar. Status report is on record.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties including the father of the complainant (Mr.Jayant Kumar) and have examined the file. By an order dated 03.01.2017, the petitioner was granted interim protection and was directed to join the investigation as and when required. Undisputedly, the petitioner has joined the investigation since then.

Vide order dated 03.01.2017, the petitioner was directed to pay `40 lacs to the complainant without prejudice and subject to future BAIL APPLN. 2666/2016
adjustment (if any).
Complainant's father informed that in compliance of the said order the amount of `40 lacs has been received. He has no objection to the confirmation of the bail. 4.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail and in the event of arrest, he be released on furnishing personal bond in the sum of ` 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating officer. He shall, however, join the investigation as and when required.
