Petitioner is present in person and is identified by the Investigating Officer states that he has settled the matter with the complainant, who is present in Court also and is identified by the Investigating Officer. Petitioner has handed over copy of the Deed of Settlement dated 2nd December, 20117, which is taken on record.

The petitioner undertakes to abide by the terms of the settlement. Since the parties have settled the matter, this Court deems it fit to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. It is, therefore, directed that in the event of arrest the petitioner be released on bail in case FIR No. 996/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Karol Bagh, New Delhi, on the complaint of Ms. Vandana, on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of BAIL APPLN. 2658/2016

the Arresting Officer/SHO concerned, further subject to the condition that he will join the investigation as and when directed by the Investigating Officer. 3.

Petition is disposed of.
