This is an application moved on behalf of the petitioner under Section 439 CrPC seeking regular bail in case FIR No.248/2017 under Section 21 of NDPS Act, PS Welcome, Delhi.

Status report on behalf of the State has been filed which is to the following effect:- "Moreover, accused Mohd. Ahmed @ Mohd.Miya @ Pappu found to be involved in one similar case in FIR No.491/16 u/s 21 NDPS Act, PS Welcome, Delhi and in another case FIR No.570/07 u/s 307 IPC, PS Welcome. The offence committed by the accused person is serious in nature. If the accused released on bail there is an apprehension that he may indulge in similar activity. Hence, bail to the accused Mohd.Ahmed @ Mohd.Miya @ Pappu is strongly opposed."
