% 06.02.2018 This writ petition has been disposed of by an order dated 11.12.2017. While allowing the writ petition, this Court had directed the concerned officer to file his personal affidavit giving reasons for the delay of 28 years in not considering the application of the petitioners. Pursuant to the above direction, Mr. Rajeev Singh posted as Land Acquisition Collector (South-East), New Delhi is present in Court. He submits that post passing of the order where the Court had expressed its displeasure for an application under section 18 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 not having been considered for 28 years, he submits that he has taken up the matter in all seriousness and has issued a specific direction that every communication received in the office should be dealt with as expeditiously as possible. He further submits that even those applications which are rejected the order would be communicated to the applicants. He also submits that the inconvenience

caused to the petitioners was not intentional and he relies on the affidavit placed on record.

On the basis of statement made in Court, we dispense with the personal appearance of LAC binding the office of the LAC to ensure that all communications, applications, references are dealt with expeditiously and orders are communicated to the applicants.
