% 23.12.2016 This petition lays a grievance on the manner in which the proceedings are being conducted by the learned Trial Court/Family Court Judge. Submission is that there is a huge delay in the matter; this petition is pending since the year 2014 and till date, written statement has not been filed; more than two years have elapsed. The petitioner appears to be aggrieved.

On a query, put to the learned counsel for the petitioner, he submits that after the filing of this petition in November, 2014, parties had been relegated to mediation; marriage being old; parties having been married in the year 1992; the Trial Court had rightly addressed the issue of reconciliation in the first instance. However reconciliation efforts failed. On another query put to the learned counsel for the petitioner, his submission is that written statement was filed by the respondent-wife on last date of hearing but the cause title

having mentioned the Court of Vishwas Nagar whereas it was the Court of Shahdara, the same could not be taken on record. Admittedly an application under Section 24 of the HMA has also been filed by the respondent-wife. It was taken on record. The Trial court shall endeavour to dispose of the petition expeditiously and a time bound schedule will be fixed by the Court. Petition disposed of.
