% 14.11.2017 Learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 submits that respondent no. 3 is neither necessary nor a proper party.

He is neither accused nor complainant in the FIR. Name of respondent no. 3 is deleted from the array of parties. Amended memo of parties be filed during the course of the day. Petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law respectively of the respondent no. 2 (complainant).

Respondent no. 2 Prem Lata is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Ramesh Kumar of Police Station Sultan Puri. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners before the Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi on 27th

April, 2011 of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Petitioners have paid `65,000/- (`50,000/- towards the settled amount and `15,000/- towards delayed payment) to the respondent no. 2 in Court today, vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 says that entire settled amount stands paid and she submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioners and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 before the Mediation Centre, in the interest of justice, FIR No.20/2001 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sultanpuri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
